Getting good at a game? How long does it take for you to get used to the handling of a new shooter/sports/cars or similar game? I refer to games that require a joystick or a lot of keyboard/mouse dexterity. I think I need around 2 days to get good at games like these. More exactly, I need to play a bit, then sleep, then play a bit more, and bam, I got the skill. What about you?

It depends. A game like Counterstrike will take you days even to get a good grip and start playing with pro's. It all depend's on which level you want to play. If you wanna play with noobs, even certain hours are enough to get a good grip of the game.

Less than an hour for most games. Though other games can take anywhere from 2-10 hours. :P Call of Duty 3 is an example of a game that took awhile to get used to. And, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is an example where I was good right away. ![]()
