In order for DxWnd to work properly with Vista, you need to follow these steps:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
1. Right click "dxwnd.exe" and choose properties.
2. In the Compatibility tab tick the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and make sure it says "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)".
3. Now go to the bottom and click "Show settings for all users".
4. Do the same as the above step and click apply then ok.
5. Now hit apply then ok on the main window to exit the properties window.
6. Right click dxwnd.exe again and click on "Run as Administrator", it should be the second option, and have a shield to the left of it.
7. It should now work on Vista.
8. Open up the new folder and you should see 4 things, double click on the one labeled "dxwnd.exe".
9. A box should pop up with the contents "C:\Program Files\Wizet\MapleStory\MapleStory.exe".
10. Right click on the text and choose modify, a new box should pop up.
11. First of all, click on the box in the top right corner labeled "..." and find MapleStory.exe, wherever you put that and press the open button (some have other then above, in example).
12. Now go down to where it is labeled "DirectX Version to Hook". Make sure the DirectX8 is ticked, not any of the others.
13. None of the other things are important, after you have changed the above things, click on the OK button.
14. Everything should be ready, start MapleStory.exe by either double clicking the new text in the box, or right-clicking it and choosing "Execute".
